Description
19th Century English Staffordshire blue and white cottage pastille burner with “cabbaging” on the roof edges and bordering the steps. This circa 1890 cottage would be used to burn incense to enhance the smell of a Victorian home. The small opening in the back of the cottage is where the incense was placed and once lit, the smoke would rise out of the chimney! We have had this style of cottage in several sizes, this is second to smallest, it’s fun to try and find them in all heights, making an impressive collection!
