A pair of circa 1880 English copper lustre, Staffordshire King Charles Spaniels with “detached paws”. These detached paws were harder to remove from the mold without breaking and are considered more desirable than a single mold figurine. Queen Victoria created a resurgence in popularity of these sweet Staffordshire dogs because of her King Charles Spaniel, “Dash”. The entire country of England was in love with these dogs and owning a pottery dog was more affordable than a real Spaniel!
