A sweet pair of white Staffordshire King Charles Spaniels, circa 1880, England. This naive duo features black eyes, nails and brown paint highlighting the chain attached to it’s collar. These Spaniels were named after King Charles II because of his love of the breed, but Queen Victoria’s dog, “Dash”, inspired potteries in the mid to late 1800’s to produce inexpensive dog figurines for the working class. We like to display these rustic looking dogs with our country furniture, adding interest to any vignette!
