An attractive pair of antique King Charles Spaniels produced by a Staffordshire pottery, circa 1880 England. Queen Victoria’s love of her Cavalier King Charles, “Dash”, inspired the renewed interest in people collecting these figurines. They started out as inexpensive pottery and most households could afford to display a pair or two on their mantels. The Spaniel dogs were the most common, but other animals were depicted as well…whippets, pugs, sheep, cows, horses, donkeys and zebras. We always strive to have a wide variety of 19th Century Staffordshire pottery figurines in our inventory!
